Last night, Giorgio Armani and The Cinema Society hosted the New York
screening of “Fair Game,” and a post-screening celebration at Armani /
Ristorante 5th Avenue.
The film, directed by Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "The Bourne
Identity"), is based on the true story from the memoir of Valerie Plame
Wilson who was outed as a covert CIA agent. Naomi Watts stars as
Wilson along with Sean Penn as Wilson's husband, Ambassador Joseph
C. Wilson.
For the production, Giorgio Armani collaborated on select wardrobe looks
for Naomi Watts with the film’s costume designer, Cindy Evans. The
wardrobe increases the veracity of the film since Wilson wore Armani
while the events depicted in the film were unfolding, such as her testifying
before Congress. “Giorgio Armani’s clothes are modern and feminine,
always making me look my best and confident," says Wilson. "This
became even more important when I found myself, reluctantly, placed in
the public eye.”
Stars such as Keri Hilson, and socialite turned designer Genevieve Jones,
Chantille-Boudousque, along with Roberta Armani were on hand to toast
Watts, who looked stunning in a Giorgio Armani cocktail dress with
beading, plunging neckline and strong shoulders.
