As a working parent and entrepreneur, designer Tory Burch believes that ‘one of the most powerful ways to create change is to economically empower
women,’ that’s why she launched the Tory Burch Foundation in 2009. Under her direction and partnership with ACCION USA, the nation’s largest
microfinance provider, the Tory Burch Foundation helps women and their families access financial tools which aim to improve their lives. In honor of
National Women’s Business Week taking place October 18 to 22, Burch has launched, “a collection of gifts that give back,” says the New York based
designer. “I am honored to donate the proceeds from these sales to help women entrepreneurs achieve their goals.”
The gifts include a Pop Art silk scarf and leather wrap bracelets to key chains and a sunflower pendant, inspired by a necklace Burch’s father Buddy had
made for his mother. The sunflower is also the foundation’s symbol and is featured on all foundation products. All proceeds from sales benefit the Tory
Burch Foundation.
