Now we take you to Penkov’s fashion show held
offsite at Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KMP),
which stands for Royal Porcelain Manufacture.
"KPM, with its style consciousness, is a perfect
partner for my new collection," states designer
Bernadett Penkov who teamed up with the company
to create a collection inspired by “decorative body
armor”.

Penkov’s collection showcased porcelain pieces
and jewelry integrated into his creations that looked
both remarkable and eclectic. Many of the designs
were more on the editorial side of fashion and
would photograph beautifully in the pages of
FashionQandA.com.

Sheer genius can only briefly describe the talents
of
c.neeon design twosome Clara Leskovar and
Doreen Schulz who graduated together in 2004
from the Kunsthochschule Weissensee design
school in Berlin. The pair presented their
collection offsite, outside the
Kunstgewerbemuseum. Blessed with gorgeous
weather, guests sipped on Chambord cocktails
under the sun prior to the start of the show, and
were treated to their own personal sized
Chambord gift.

FashionQandA.com is a huge supporter of this
emerging line that has taken the use of strong
graphic prints, Mondrian silhouettes and
asymmetrical shapes to a new level with their
design approach. Models graced the runway
adorning hair-weaved pieces in the form of a
stenciled at the corner of each eye, creating a cool
pop of color reflected in the light of day. Seated in
bleachers, the jam-packed crowd was
mesmerized by the flowing silk chiffon prints and
effervescent patterns.
Kunsthochschule Berlin-
Weißensee
, founded in
1946, offers an art-
oriented, interdisciplinary
design program for
students who are selected
to study at the exclusive
institution. Many of
Germany’s best and
brightest design talent are
Weißensee alums,
including c.neeon. During
Fashion Week Berlin,
Weißensee presented an
inspiring range of avant-
garde graduate and
student collections over
the course of two fashion
shows at the Palazzo
Italia, where guests and
press enjoyed a lengthy
runway demonstration of
the school’s top talent.
FashionQandA.com was
thoroughly impressed by
the creativity and
personality of the
collections. Berlin is soon
to be a major player in the
world of fashion and the
new generation school of
design is pushing the
envelope of traditional
fashion theories and
execution techniques.
The vibe was political at
Michalsky, who selected
to show offsite, at the
Uferhallen, to the largest
crowd of the week. The
show was completely at
capacity, and many guests
who were not lucky
enough to get to their seat
in time had to sit in the
aisle way.  The front row of
this show was a paparazzi
dream, full of Berlin’s
finest and best-dressed
celebrities. The collection
poked fun at millionaire
hippes, champagne-
socialists, and eco-friendly
luxury leftism. Designer
Michael Michalsky
selected a color range for
Spring ’09 that varied from
hot fuchsia pink,
turquoise, lime green, dark
navy to crisp white.
Although the designer delivered a
gorgeous, visually stimulating finely
tailored collection, it was played safe
in terms of garment composition.
Many similar pieces have already
been created before by designers like
Versace and Valentino. From a men’s
style point view, Michalsky was
definitely thinking outside of the box
and FashionQandA.com strongly
believes more men should think in
color. How boring would life be if
everything was black and white. The
collection was also heavily inspired
by the 40th anniversary of the
summer of 1968, the 25th anniversary
of the German Green Party and the
protest-rally-culture of Berlin.

Michalsky designs and produces
clothing and accessories that enable
consumers to express their own
individuality. The products are aimed
at modern, cosmopolitan consumers
who appreciate quality.

The secondary line of Unrath & Strano, hailed
as "Unrath & Strano Celebrity", presented for
the first time at Fashion Week Berlin to much
praise and acclamation alongside select
pieces from the Unrath & Strano men's
collection. According to a press statement by
the line, “To ensure that the walk down the
red carpet is nothing short of spectacular,
Unrath & Strano signature dresses were
accompanied by the label's two prét-à-porter
lines. For years, these great works of haute
couture have been regarded as the crowning
jewel of every Unrath & Strano collection.”
