The fashion label KILIAN KERNER showed for the fourth consecutive season at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Kerner’s fall/winter 2010 collection offered elaborately made designs that have come to define the brand. High-end details such as duo-colored zippers and carefully used “Edsor Kronen” vintage fabrics, rounded the collection off with a playful and sexy air.
The fall/winter collection “was der himmel sagt” is about the moment of total clarity, according to the brand. The styles reflect this concern 'with moments in which one uncompromisingly knows what’s right and where one belongs'. “When I arrived in Berlin seven years ago I instantly knew something was waiting for me in this city," says Kerner. "I have allowed my real life feelings to flow into my tenth collection."
Sensuality, pared with casual elegance defined the KILIAN KERNER womenswear collection. Cashmere coats and trousers were the key separates along with pieces crafted from leather, silk and velour.
The young Berlin based designer presented a causal menswear collection that featured a reinterpreted classic double-breasted suit and a mix of traditional elements with an urban edge.
“Fashion week is a platform of ever growing importance for us Berlin designers,” says the designer. “We are offered an opportunity to present ourselves in an incredibly professional environment to a more and more international audience.”
