How to Create Sexy Metallic Smoky Eyes
Geren Ford is a line that uses captivating cinematic moments
as a muse for creating designs that transfer fabulous film
moments into everyday living and style. Thus, it is not
surprising why Los Angeles based Geren Ford designer and
founder, Geren Lockhart, chose a beauty palette for her Spring
2009 fashion presentation that was reminiscent of the drama
and allure of young Hollywood set for a New York City stage.

Whether you are a new make-up maverick or a seasoned
cosmetic's pro creating the "Geren Ford smoky eye" is
relatively easy to do. This enhanced eye look is best worn past
dusk because the smoky eye is meant to look very striking
while creating a mysterious and glamorous eye popping effect.

To re-create this look for yourself follow these 5 simple steps:
• Black liquid liner
• Black mascara
• Silver metallic eye shadow
• White iridescent eye shadow
• Black eyeshadow
• Gold shimmery eyeshadow
• Eye contour brush
• Eye smudge brush
• Large dome brush
• Q-tips
Apply a white iridescent eyeshadow known as
a primer all over lid to provide color and
crease contouring coverage. Use a dome
brush to blend eyeshadow evenly. Then apply
a super dense eye pencil on the inner and
outer eye area, which is perfect to create a
precise line at the base of your lashes

liner into a smoky circle close to the lash
line and in the eye corner.

your eyes match and that the
color is equally blended and
you don't have black liner in
the center points of your eye,
if so use a Q-tip to repair any

Using several different complimenting light
base eye shadows in gold, mauve and
cocoa you want to weave the contrasting
tones of light shadows with your black
shadow. This technique adds the perfect
dimension so your eye pops out and does
not look covered up by one dark hue. Now,
using an eye contour brush, create an arc
into the crease of the eyelid, under and
softly outward from the corner. Focus your
brush strokes on placing the eyeshadow
on the outer half of the eye.
