When American businessman Joel Lachman moved back
to the United States in 1978 after living abroad in Paris, he
didn’t come back home empty handed. Hidden in his little
goody bag for America was only Europe’s leading skin care
system,
Guinot Paris. For over 40 years, Rene Guinot’s
collection of skincare products has dominated as the high-
end, upper echelon of skin treatments.  Not available for
retail purchase, these top-of-the-line products have
captured 55% of the skincare market in France and are now
available in over 1,100 spas and salons across the United States and in thousands more around the world. But to stay at the top, Guinot Paris has to stay on its innovative game. That’s why
Lachman came to New York City’s Guinot Instititue on Fifth Avenue to personally introduce the line’s two newest treatments in its age defying arsenal:
The Hydradermie Treatment with
Hydra Plus and the
Acti- Rides Flash Wrinkle Eraser System. So how exactly do these technologically refined skincare wonders work? I was more than happy to take one for the
FashionQandA.com team and tried them out for myself:

The
Hydradermie Treatment with Hydra Plus combines the latest technological advances with the deft training of some of the world’s most skilled estheticians to fully rejuvenate your
complexion. Utilizing high frequency rollers to gently glaze the epidermis with nourishing gels, via mild galvanic currents and topped off with a relaxing massage, Guinot’s Hydradermie
Treatment covers all of bases necessary to achieve that pure and youthful look that you simply can’t achieve on your own. So what are the Guinot Institute’s secret weapons behind this
revolutionary treatment? It all comes down to ionization and oxygenation.
Ionization
The electrotherapy and gentle massaging movements of the
high frequency rollers help to penetrate more deeply into the
skin. The Hydradermie gels used contain Sodium Acid
Carbonate, which makes the deep cleansing of your skin
possible. The gels are also rich in Sodium Lactate, a
powerful moisturizing ingredient that helps improve the
hydration of the outer layer of the epidermis, leaving your skin
feeling moist and hydrated.
Oxygenation
Essential oils are the key for purifying the skin and eliminating the toxins that keep you from looking your best. Combining the essential oils with the oxygen in the prepared emulsion allow
for microbial oxidation. These agents join forces to work as a fault-free antiseptic and bactericide, allowing the skin to create hyperemia, which flushes out all the toxic agents that have been
keeping your face from achieving that youthful glow.

So maybe you don’t want to visit an esthetician every time a pesky wrinkle comes around. Keep your face and neck wrinkle free with Guinot’s newly launched anti-wrinkle serum, the
Acti-
Rides Flash Wrinkle Eraser System ($60). This wrinkle combatant serum pen helps to restore skin elasticity, improve suppleness, and even decreases wrinkle depth. Designed with a
Dermo Ball Roller applicator for maximum penetration and packed with hyaluronic acid, shea butter, vitamin E and Guinot’s key active ingredient, Derm Liss, this serum pen fills wrinkles
from deep inside by moving the dermis underneath. It also plumps elastic tissue in the dermis to form a barrier on the skin that protects from harmful external factors. It’s your very own
professionally trained Guinot esthetician in a pen for the woman on the go.
HOW TO USE:
With light, circular movements, run the pen over your main facial wrinkles. Smooth the wrinkle along
its length. Use on every wrinkle on your forehead, between your eyebrows from bottom to top, on
crow’s feet, from the wing of your nose to the outer corners of the mouth on the nasolabial folds.
