Take a good look at these hair color do’s and don’ts, be inspired by the
do’s and take caution from the don’ts. Going into this Autumn season, it
is essential to liven up your locks, whether it means richening the color,
deepening the intensity or bringing back the shine. Here I present a few
dashing ladies that took their stylist’s advice to boost their Fall hair color
and bring their look to the highest standard in beauty for the coming
season. Your locks hold so much of your life, why not treat them right
and make your hair color bloom with the changing season.
Amber Tamblyn
Though this is not a horrible
color, it is not her best hair
color representation.
Ultimately it is too light for her
fair skin. Amber’s usual
mahogany brown or an even
lighter tone with heavy
golden beige highlights would
really brighten her look and
update her color for Fall.
Rachel Bilson
This young starlet lightens
her locks just enough to
flatter her already flawless
face and physique.
Whether she rocks rich rum
brown or a brighter beige
brunette, Rachel is one to
watch for fashion trends.
Often times the simplest
enhancement is the most
flattering, this is probably
the best tip to remind your
stylist this Fall when
deciding on how to amp
your color a notch.

Model Jessica Stam
Jessica embodies the
beauty so many companies
cherish as the face of their
brand and we love her too!
Her hair color has
dimension and shine even
though it is light, because it
suits her skin tone and
gorgeous eye color. It is
that sun-kissed light hair we
all admire on children.
Nelly Furtado
Most color mishaps happen
because we are inspired by
all the colors of the spectrum,
regardless of the fact that
they may or may not suit our
complexion and eye color.
There is such a thing as too
blonde, commonly referred to
as a "blondeorexic".
Unfortunately the usually
dark and lovely Nelly Furtado
shocked us all by appearing
at the Grammy Awards as a
light blonde. We would rather
see lovely Nelly as a medium
brunette with caramel, and
butterscotch highlights.
Model Karen Elson
Karen is always a color do;
her signature scarlet hue is
instantly recognizable and
suits her porcelain ivory
complexion. Red heads are
always a fun Fall change,
and even adding warmth to
your own chestnut or dark
chocolate mane is a must.
Fall and Autumn are a
celebration of the colors of
the season so indulge by
adding some warmth to
brunettes and enliven a
blonde with flashes of
warmth and copper.
Jordan, aka Katie Price
This is a definite hair color
don’t, though she has
changed to what I assume is
closer to her natural color,
this is too drastic and too
severe for her features. If
she were to soften the hue
by warming it up even a half
a shade, the color would suit
her far better. While she is
certainly better known as a
blonde, I would love to see
Jordan with a slightly warmer,
richer brunette.
Miranda Kerr
Victoria’s Secret model
Miranda Kerr knows how to
make the transition from
summer to fall work in her
favor. By lightening your
locks early summer, then let
the sun and summer do the
rest, a month into fall ask
your colorist for a gloss or
tone that is about a shade
lighter then your own mane.
The end result is lightened
ends stay lightened and
roots are richened.
Aubrey O’Day
The uber sexy Aubrey from
P. Diddy's super group
Danity Kane is always va-va
voom for the photogs. We
just wish she would tone
down her tone, the blonde-
blonde, blonde bombshell,
needs some lowlights or even
a deeper base color. Her
look works for the camera,
but in real life this kind of
color requires a lot of
touching up on a regular
basis and rarely comes
across as a natural look.
