Sabrina Zohar, our youngest Girl of the Moment and also the October "It Girl" Essentials"
winner, wants you to know that she is not part of the herd; if anything, she's leading it.
Acting, modeling, philanthropy - it's all part of a day in the life of Sabrina. At the tender age of
18, this Florida native has already graced the catwalks of various fashion shows in Miami,
has gone head to head with Shakespeare at Lincoln Center and even started the Invisible
Children/Schools for Schools organization, a club founded to raise money and awareness
for children in Uganda and that has raised more than $6,000 for children in need.

We have all read about the infamous “It Girls” – the young women whose time in the
limelight is defined more by their very public personal struggles than by their
achievements. However, It Girl Essentials (
www.itgirlessentials.com), a nationwide search
that identifies real-life “It Girls,” is moving away from the Hollywood obsessed 'it girls' to
recognize young women who embody confidence, reliability, poise and of course, a little bit
of flair. A panel of judges selects an exceptional "It Girl Essentials" each month.
FashionQandA.com was so impressed with Sabrina that we knew she had to be our
October 08 Girl of the Moment.

"Every day I strive to set myself apart. I come from a melting pot of ethnicities and my
Egyptian, French, Moroccan, Israeli, Italian, Turkish and Spanish heritage add to my unique
look and style. My ethnicity is something I hold in high regard. I am the first generation of
American women in my family, and I am proud of that.” Sabrina's out-of-this-world hybridity
is something she has embraced wholeheartedly, and she hopes to one day use the
confidence she has earned on stage and on the catwalk to teach young women about the
importance of being yourself. Ms. Zohar's fashioinista word of advice to all those ambitious
'it girls' of tomorrow out there: "Dress in a way that expresses yourself and makes you
happy. Don't get hung up on trends, and use your own style to let your personality shine
through. This will make you stand out from the crowd!"
